Hamzanama - Several thousand amphorae appear and all of Zumurrud Shah’s soldiers mount them

...When Zumurrud Shah camped in a meadow he received bad news and set forth for Antali. Marzban was his companion and when they decamped on the way Zumurrud Shah saw a pole and asked him what it was for. Marzban explained hat the sorcerers had set up seven talismans in order to block the road where the God-worshippers planned to pass. Zumurrud Shah asked how they were going to get past these talismans. Marzban formed a bird out of clay, wrote a letter and attached it to the bird’s wing, worked his magic and made the bird fly to Antali. Waking up two days later Zumurrud Shah and Marzban discovered a huge array of amphorae...

The illustration shows The King of the East and all his commanders, horsemen and soldiers getting onto the amphorae and flying in the direction of Antali.

...The next day at sunrise they arrived there. Antali was beautifully decorated and precious carpets had been laid out. When Zumurrud Shah stopped at the gate to Malik Zarduhusht’s house, the sorcerers welcomed him and escorted him into the palace where a rich banquet was given in his honour. Afterwards, Zumurrud Shah went to have an audience with Zarduhusht. On arrival he touched the ground with his forehead and suddenly a voice said: “You are welcome.”...
